Lorenzo Garagnani has a keen special interest in the treatment of children with hand and wrist disorders. This includes not only all traumatic conditions but also congenital anomalies of the hand and upper limb. He was fellowship trained at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London and jointly led the paediatric hand and upper limb service at Modena University Hospital, Italy. 

In the NHS, Lorenzo is co-founder and was the first Lead surgeon of the OrthoPlastic Hand Unit at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital, where he and Dr Holder, an eminent Consultant in Clinical Genetics, also established jointly the UK's first and only multidisciplinary paediatric hand and upper limb differences outpatient clinic that includes a thorough genetics assessment, with participation also of the specialist paediatric Occupational Therapy and Hand Therapy teams. 

He also runs specialist paediatric hand and wrist surgery clinics and performs paediatric hand and wrist surgical treatment at the Evelina London Children's Hospital.

Lorenzo performs his private paediatric hand and wrist consultations and surgical treatment at The Portland Hospital in London.

Lorenzo is one of the founders & past President of PHISOS (Paediatric Hand - International Society of Surgeons)
